2009 A.R.O.Y. Writing
Festival Announced
Young
people across our Episcopate are invited and encouraged to participate in this
year's A.R.O.Y. Writing Festival! Entries are to be a maximum of 500
words in length and be on the following subject:
The
Church (our Faith) is often compared to a "family." This
family is of great importance, and is made up of unique pieces that work
together, love one another, depend on each other, learn from and teach one
another, etc. Keeping these ideas in mind, consider the following: Why
is it important for clergy, parents and parishioners to be actively involved
and supportive in the life and activities of the youth (A.R.O.Y.) within our
parishes? Please discuss...
Participants
All young people (ages 14-35) affiliated with a parish or mission community of
The Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America, are invited to participate.
Entries will be read by a judging panel, and the winners will be invited to
read their composition and receive recognition during the 60th A.R.O.Y.
Conference in Cleveland, Ohio.

There will be one winner and one runner-up for the JUNIOR category (ages
14-18), and one winner and one runner-up for the SENIOR category (ages
