"Tree
of
Blessings"
Christmas
Charity
Project
Announced
With
the
Christmas
season
quickly
approaching,
the
National
Board
is
pleased
to
announce
our
"Tree
of
Blessings"
Charity
Project
to
help
those
in
need.
While
we
should
always
do
what
we
can
to
help
those
less
fortunate,
we
hope
each
of
our
chapters
will
join
us
in
this
special
effort
at
this
festive
time.
Each
chapter
has
been
sent
a
packet
containing
an
assortment
of
paper
tree
ornaments.
From
A.R.O.Y.
Sunday
(December
3)
until
December
31,
chapter
members
will
be
selling
these
ornaments
($1
each)
to
parishioners
and
friends.
Those
who
buy
the
ornaments
are
invited
to
write
their
name,
or
the
name
of
a
loved
one,
on
them
and
hand
them
on
a
tree
set-up
by
the
chapter
somewhere
in
the
parish
facilities.
On
the
final
day
of
the
project,
the
chapters
will
send
1/2
of
the
money
collected
to
the
National
A.R.O.Y.
Treasurer
to
be
distributed
to
charity.
The
other
half
of
the
money
collected
will
remain
with
the
local
chapter
to
help
them
in
their
local
projects.
Our
goal
is
to
sell
all
of
the
ornaments
and
have
100%
chapter
participation,
which
will
be
a
true
symbol
of
goodwill
and
unity.
We
pray
this
effort
will
bring
us
closer
together
using
the
good
example
of
our
Patron
Saint
Nicholas,
who
put
happiness
and
well-being
of
those
in
need
before
his
own. |
