A.R.O.Y. Chapter Financial Obligations Update

TO:   Chapters of The American Romanian Orthodox Youth
RE:   Financial Obligations for 2005-2006

Dear Friends,

We are transmitting this letter to our chapters to say “Thank You” for your cooperation regarding our annual Work Month Project and Membership Dues collections.  Thanks to the hard work of our National Treasurer, Kristina Persichino, and with the help of our chapter liaisons, Lisa Nemes and Maranda Tipa, we were able to collect a total of $3,350.00 toward our Work Month Project for 2005-2006, and $1020.00 for Membership Dues by the deadline of July 31!  Additionally, we received $300.00 for the 2005-06 Work Month Project after the deadline.  Although we did not reach our goal of 100% chapter participation, we did exceed the amounts expected in both collections!

As you aware, the National Board does its best to avoid ‘taxing’ our chapters with financial burdens. We believe that most of the monies raised by chapters should be put to good use on the local level.  The Work Month Project and individual Membership Dues that are collected nationally to help us with our expenses, and allow us to contribute in some way to various charitable causes.  They are both ways that we as members of A.R.O.Y. show our dedication to the organization and to the things we believe in.  We appreciate those groups who took on the responsibility to make sure these obligations were fulfilled.

Again, we thank you for your dedication, and look forward to even greater achievements in the coming year!  Please continue to bring in new members and work together so that our organization and our Church will continue to grow.

With love and thanks on behalf of the National Board,

John E. Lazar
38th National A.R.O.Y. President
