Hierarchs Presented Signs of Appreciation from A.R.O.Y.

SOUTHFIELD, MICHIGAN - Between the sessions of the Episcopate Council Meeting here on Saturday, February 14, 2004, A.R.O.Y. President Dan Hoarste presented His Eminence, Archbishop NATHANIEL, with his bishop's staff which the A.R.O.Y. had refurbished and now looks like new again.  The staff, originally belonging to Archbishop VALERIAN, received a new coat of gold-plating and even a new carrying case, a gift from A.R.F.O.R.A.  President Hoarste then surprised His Grace, Bishop IRINEU, by presenting him with a new bishop's staff, an item he has been in need of since his consecration just over one year ago.

The National Board was moved in this way to show their appreciation for the support and guidance the hierarchs have shown and continue to offer to the young people of the diocese.  We wish them many happy and healthy years with us!
