Andrew Regule
11th National A.R.O.Y. President

Andrew Regule was born in Sharon, Pennsylvania, to John and Lydia Regule.  Having graduated with honors from Sharon High School in 1955, he earned a degree in civil engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.  He then studied law under the guidance of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and was admitted in April 1965 to the Mercer County Bar Association.  He worked as a lawyer in Sharon with his brother, John J. Regule (8th National A.R.O.Y. President) and State Representative Michael Gruitza.  He also served numerous State courts over the years.

Andrew, together with his wife Mary and family, remained an active member of Holy Cross Church in Farrell/Hermitage, Pennsylvania, throughout his life, serving on the parish council and in other capacities over the years.

He served National A.R.O.Y. as Membership Chairman (1962-63), Treasurer (1963-64) and President (1964-66).  Starting in the early 1960's, the average age of A.R.O.Y. members began to steadily decline and new activities were needed to encompass the younger generation.  It was during Andrew's presidency that the National A.R.O.Y. Sports Tournament Weekends were introduced - an activity still enjoyed by many.

Andrew Regule fell asleep in the Lord on February 19, 1997.  May his memory be eternal!
