Andrew
Regule
was
born
in
Sharon,
Pennsylvania,
to
John
and
Lydia
Regule.
Having
graduated
with
honors
from
Sharon
High
School
in
1955,
he
earned
a
degree
in
civil
engineering
from
Carnegie
Mellon
University
in
Pittsburgh.
He
then
studied
law
under
the
guidance
of
the
University
of
Pittsburgh
School
of
Law
and
was
admitted
in
April
1965
to
the
Mercer
County
Bar
Association.
He
worked
as
a
lawyer
in
Sharon
with
his
brother,
John
J.
Regule
(8th
National
A.R.O.Y.
President)
and
State
Representative
Michael
Gruitza.
He
also
served
numerous
State
courts
over
the
years.
Andrew,
together
with
his
wife
Mary
and
family,
remained
an
active
member
of
Holy
Cross
Church
in
Farrell/Hermitage,
Pennsylvania,
throughout
his
life,
serving
on
the
parish
council
and
in
other
capacities
over
the
years.
He
served
National
A.R.O.Y.
as
Membership
Chairman
(1962-63),
Treasurer
(1963-64)
and
President
(1964-66).
Starting
in
the
early
1960's,
the
average
age
of
A.R.O.Y.
members
began
to
steadily
decline
and
new
activities
were
needed
to
encompass
the
younger
generation.
It
was
during
Andrew's
presidency
that
the
National
A.R.O.Y.
Sports
Tournament
Weekends
were
introduced
-
an
activity
still
enjoyed
by
many.
Andrew
Regule
fell
asleep
in
the
Lord
on
February
19,
1997.
