Maranda J. Tipa
40th National A.R.O.Y. President

Maranda Justine Tipa was born in Livonia, Michigan, on November 11, 1985, to (+)John and Mariana Tipa.  She is an active member of St. George Romanian Orthodox Cathedral in Southfield, Michigan.

Maranda has been an active member of her church and its A.R.O.Y. Chapter.  She was a junior member of the church choir and graduated from the church Sunday School.  She also participated in Camp Vatra as a camper and staff member.  Maranda is an active member of the Cathedral Parish Council where she has held the position of parish Treasurer.  As an active member of Cathedral A.R.O.Y., she has held the offices of President, Vice President, Secretary, and Conference Delegate.  This is Maranda's seventh year on the Board, having previously served as Historian, Auditor, Member At Large, Treasurer, and Vice President.

Maranda graduated from South Lyon High School in 2003 where she played basketball, ran track, and was an active member of various clubs, including yearbook and leadership.  Maranda graduated in December 2006 from Michigan State University with a degree in Business Administration.  She currently works as a financial analyst at Electronic Data Systems (E.D.S.) and attends graduate school to earn a Masters in Business Administration (M.B.A.) Degree.

Maranda looks forward to the continued success and growth of A.R.O.Y. and the memorable experiences it offers the young people of our Episcopate.
