Jessica Precop
Member At Large

Jessica Precop joins the board this year for her third time, previously serving the positions of Auditor and Historian, along with working on other projects including the A.R.O.Y. Choir and the A.R.O.Y. Guidelines for Hosting a Spiritual Event.  She has participated in A.R.O.Y. events all her life, and is thrilled to work at the national level yet again.  She was recently re-elected to the Student Advisory Board (S.A.B.) for the Orthodox Christian Fellowship (O.C.F.) North American Office.  She serves as a regional representative where she will work with the colleges and universities in the states of Ohio, Indiana, West Virginia, Kentucky, Michigan, as well as Ontario, Canada.  She hopes to use her connections with A.R.O.Y. to promote a Romanian presence in the O.C.F. and foster better communication between the two organizations.

She is a Senior at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio, studying Human Development and Family Studies, with a minor in music.  She hopes to continue her studies by earning a masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, and at some point achieving a masters degree in Theology from St. Vladimir's Seminary in Crestwood, New York.  At B.G.S.U., she maintains a 3.4 GPA while serving as an intern with the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students.  She is also involved in many choirs and ensembles on campus including A Cappella Choir, Small Chamber Ensemble, and Collegiate Chorale.  Along with that, she is involved in the Resident Student Association (R.S.A.) where she was recently elected to serve on the regional level representing B.G.S.U. while helping the other universities in her region develop their leadership skills.  She is also the President of National Residence Hall Honorary (N.R.H.H.) Falcon Chapter.  She is a member of Sigma Alpha Iota Professional Music Fraternity for Women where she serves as editor/historian, and is a co-founder of the B.G.S.U. local O.C.F. Chapter.

She is a life-long member of St. George Romanian Orthodox Cathedral where she is involved with Cathedral A.R.O.Y. and the choir.  In her local Cathedral Junior A.R.O.Y. Chapter, she has served as Auditor, Secretary, Vice President, and President.  She has also gone to Camp Vatra many times since she was ten years old.  She has been a student at both the Junior and Senior Camps, as well as a staff member at both - serving as a kitchen hostess, counselor, and choir director.

Jessica feels that A.R.O.Y. has been instrumental in helping her define who she is.  Jessica is proud of her Orthodox Faith and believes that it has helped her discover her values and strengths, and led her to the things she loves the most: music and her friends.  Being Romanian is also important to Jessica because she feels that it brings her closer to her family members and gives her a sense of pride and uniqueness when she is around others.
