On March 28-30, 2008, the National A.R.O.Y. Board met at Holy Nativity of the Lord Church in Chicago, Illinois, for yet another productive and eventful weekend.  The meeting started at 10:30 a.m. and ended at 5:00 p.m.  The board members spent time discussing the upcoming Spring Sports Tournament in Grand Rapids, Michigan, plans for the annual Yearbook project, possible fundraising projects, and retreats, among other topics.  A delicious Lenten lunch was prepared by Psa. Pavel.  The meeting concluded with the jobs of each committee and what was expected of them by the next meeting.  Several members of the local Holy Nativity A.R.O.Y. Chapter had the opportunity to attend the meeting and participate in some discussions.

Following the meeting, all the Board members attended Great Vespers led by V. Rev. Fr. Simion Pavel, host parish priest.  After Great Vespers, the Board, along with those from the local chapter who were able to join them, enjoyed dinner downtown followed by a small tour of the city.  The next morning, the Board members attended Divine Liturgy at the church followed by an enjoyable lunch together.

The Board offers its sincere thanks our host chapter and parish, along with all those who contributed!

The out-of-towners began to arrive and were welcomed on Friday evening.
Of course, immediately upon arrival, they wanted to see some of the city.

At the end of vespers, the Board paused for a picture with V. Rev. Fr. & Psa. Simion Pavel, host priest, and V. Rev. Fr. & Psa. Ioan Lupescu, assistant priest.
That evening, the group ate supper at a local pizza restaurant in downtown.

That weekend, board member Alexandru Radulescu celebrated his birthday...
...so, of course, the group had to add their well wishes to the restaurant wall.  (Don't worry, it's allowed!)
The rest of the evening was spent seeing some of the more unusual artwork found in Millennium Park.
